The Panamik is situated at an elevation of 10442 ft above sea level. A beautiful scenic village in the Nubra valley and famous for its hot springs.

The Panamik will be the last destination of leh ladakh for the tourists. The hot water springs of Panamik are enriched with a high amount of Sulphur. A dip in these Sulphur hot springs is believed to cure various health ailments. Owing to the health benefits of these hot springs, people came to visit Panamik on a daily basis from the neighbouring places.

Renowned for its curative hot springs.Panamik is located close to Siachen glacier, the highest battlefield in the world, about 150 km from Leh, Panamik is known for its hot water spring. Across the Nubra or Siachan River at Panamik, is the isolated Ensa Gompa.

Panamik is also important because it is the only northern part of India where foreigners are allowed to go.

This place is surrounded by snow capped mountains, the green valley. Panamik is a sight to be hold. The village stands on the banks of Nubra River. The scenic beauty of the place, sulphur springs and the proximity to Siachen glacier make it a must visit destination. Panamik is the last civilian settlement before Siachen base camp, where no civilians are allowed to go.

Panamik is also famous for its Bactrian camels and Pashmina goats. Native to the steppes of central Asia. Bactrian camels were the main mode of transport when Ladakh was an important stopover on the ancient trade routes with Central Asia. Wool from the Pashmina goats are used to weave the famous Pashmina Shawl.

Panamik is also the famous for the trek to Ensa Gompa. The 250-year-old Ensa gompa is popular for Buddhist murals and scriptures.

Despite the fact that Panamik doesn?t have any star hotels or resorts, the village is very popular for honeymooners.

Panamik is a great place to buy Kashmiri carpet, Pashmina shawls and woolen socks. Horticulture products like apricots, walnuts, apples and almonds are also worth to buy.

There are some limited options to stay in Panamik. There are some rest houses but there are no luxury hotels. Rest houses in Panamik are famous for piped water from the hot springs.

Food options are also limited in Panamik. Rest houses provide meals to lodgers but there are no separate restaurants in Panamik.

Winter is quite harsh in Ladakh. To visit Panamik, it's possible only during summer between June to August. Khardung La pass is the only gateway to Panamik, opens during summer.
