Several buses are plying from both Manali and Shimla to Kaza which takes 10 to 12 hours to reach Kaza. Then from Kaza hire private cabs to reach the monastery and it will take about 40 minutes to climb to the monastery is quite challenging.

During this time of the year, the Himalayas receive heavy rainstorms and slippery roads and landslides.
